
The North Castle Town Board voted unanimously on Wednesday, January 28,
to fund almost half the purchase of the 30-acre Dubos property, an
acquisition that will help protect Mount Kisco's
drinking water reservoir.
Westchester Land Trust is working with a coalition of community advocates and government agencies to protect a beautiful historic site with access to Long Island Sound in Rye.
Westchester Land Trust protected 510 acres in 2008, through conservation
easements, donations, and partnerships with government agencies and other land
preservation organizations. The 510 acres means that we have worked to protect
a total of 6,147 acres.
Westchester Land Trust has been officially accredited by an
independent commission of land preservation experts, one of the just 39 out of
1,700 land trusts nationwide to be approved in the first round of accreditation
review.

Historical Hall, in Bedford
