A Gala Day

Al DelBello, left, and Board Chairman George Bianco chat at the 2010 gala.
If we were writing an ad for a play or movie, all we'd have to do is drop in the raves from the critics. In our case, we'll drop in the raves from our guests:

"This was just possibly the best gala of all. It was fun, uplifting, and inspiring."

"What a wonderful event! Could not have been more beautiful or more fun."

"Congratulations on a SPECTACULAR evening! "

"I thought the evening was the best I had attended..."

"I congratulate you for, in the words of several old timers, the beat gala yet. "

"The band was wonderful and Al DelBello spoke from the heart. "

Since these are actual excerpts from emails we received the day after the June 19, 2010, event, we'll refrain from using the names of those who sent them. But they're real, and they're typical.

Our 2010 Gala at Birdstone Farm, at which we honored our former chairman, Al DelBello, was a terrific success, in every way.

We thank everyone who joined us. We especially thank Lee Manning-Vogelstein, a member of our Board who generously opened Birdstone to us, and the event co-chairs, Jim and Susan Henry. And a special thanks to a great corps of volunteers, especially Suzanne Mancuso, who worked tirelessly to make the event a success!
