Our 2008 Gala's lead sponsor was Merrill Lynch

More than 400 people joined us at our annual gala and auction on Saturday evening to help honor Susan Henry and support land preservation in Westchester County.
The event, held at Whelpley Farm in Bedford Hills, raised almost $500,000.
We presented Susan, a founder of Westchester Land Trust, with our Preservation ANGEL Award -- Advocate for Nature, Guardian of Our Environment and Lands (the Lewisboro Ledger wrote a beautiful story about Susan, which you can read here).
We want to thank the event's co-chairs, Dan and Kate Ginnel, and our auction co-chairs, Lesa Vogliano and Kathy Boyle.
We also want to thank our host for the evening, Alan Gordon, for opening up Whelpley Farm to us.
And finally, the number of volunteers who help with the gala is legion, and we're grateful to them all, but we especially want to mention Helen Peeples, who put in a week's worth of work before the gala and then worked from start to finish at the event itself (and even found time to bid on silent auction items).
