| Paul Gallay will step down as executive director on June 30. |
The Board of Directors and staff of Westchester Land Trust sends our best wishes to Paul Gallay, who has served as our executive director since February 2000, as he moves on to his next challenge, as president of the Maine Coast Heritage Trust.
With Paul as executive director, Westchester Land Trust protected 5,000 acres (out of 5,700 total), helped local communities buy important new preserves, expanded from a staff of two to 12, and established an endowment campaign that has raised $5.6 million.
In other words, we're in great shape to continue pursuing our mission. The Board has formed a search committee to find a successor, and the staff, which has been instrumental to WLT's accomplishments, will continue to work hard protecting Westchester's most important lands.
