Walking in Lewisboro

Posted in

You don't have to live in Lewisboro to be part of Vi Patek's Lewisboro Land Trust walking group. Vi leads walks through preserves in town throughout the year. The next on is Saturday, July 26, at 9 a.m., at the Old Field Preserve, on Mead Street, Waccabuc. Email Vi at Vi@Westchesterlandtrust.org for more information.

In the meantime, the Lewisboro Ledger has a story today (here) about places to walk in the hamlets of Lewisboro and Vista (Lewisboro, for the unitiated, has six hamlets: Vista, Lewisboro, South Salem, Waccabuc, Cross River and Goldens Bridge). Two of the preserves mentioned - Old Church Lane and Love - are ours.

Of course we have other preserves in Lewisboro as well: Pine Croft Meadow and Frederick P. Rose, and played instrumental roles in the creation of the Old Field Preserve and the Leon Levy Preserve.
