A team of local scientists has found 140 different species at the Pine Croft Preserve in Lewisboro -- 65 herbaceous plants, 11 butterflies, six dragonflies and damselflies, one mammal (white-tailed deer, although presumably there are numerous rodents that went unseen), 23 birds (the scientists were there in August, before migration and just after breeding season), 15 trees, and 18 shrubs and vines.
You can read the whole list here, and learn more about Pine Croft Preserve here.
