Damon Oscarson and Bill Kuebler of Westchester Land Trust's land preservation staff, and John Schroeder of the Yorktown Land Trust, organized a cleanup detail at the Danner Family Preserve in Yorktown on Saturday morning. About a dozen volunteers -- including an enthusiastic and hard-working contingent from the Putnam County Land Trust -- showed up, made short work of the trash and then erected a sign at the entrance.
