Green Fire: Aldo Leopold & A Land Ethic for Our Time
We should not see land as a commodity that we own,
but as a community to which we belong. – Aldo Leopold
WLT is proud to present the feature-length film, “Green Fire: Aldo Leopold & A Land Ethic for Our Time,” with commentary by Susan Todd, filmmaker and environmentalist. This film documents Leopold’s philosophy and main interests – the relation of people to each other, and the relation of people to the land. It is also a positive view of conservation initiatives around the country, and the history of conservation, including local farm food.

Urban Forests

Vibrant Cities and Urban Forests: A National Call to Action is a nationwide initiative, spearheaded by the U.S. Forest Service and New York Restoration Project (NYRP), to promote and improve urban ecosystems and green infrastructure in our nation’s cities and municipalities. Sarah Pfeiffer,NYRP, will discuss this initiative. Introduction by Jonathan Rose, Jonathan Rose Companies.
